Please keep in mind all the scenarios we can discuss are just
opinions until a, er, "confident" Contest Director sees things
differently.

For example, LPP rules say "No gadgets" including "variable pitch,"
but we could debate for a long time what a gadget is. Does
a "gadget" have to be at all complex to be called a gadget? What
about a thin carbon strip prop hub that is designed to flex at just
the right torque? I know, ezb rules allow "natural flexing," but
that's in the context of wood, and there's nothing too "natural"
about carbon fiber, IMO.

Anyhow, if you want to experiment with rules, it may take some time
for one CD's precedent to become known to others, or for rules to be
officially clarified or changed. Until then, maybe just have fun
with the confusion! (At the risk of scaring away others.)
