I get very good results with my Harlan. Just the other day i striped
some .018 for a ministick. I striped of a piece of SS that was around
 .05 that was left over. A bit of playing with the micrometer
settings and you will have it down. It takes a bit of getting used to
though. I use a dial thickness guadge that i got from harlan. I put
the rubber in all the way and then thighten the feeds on it. Then i
start cranking the handel and i get a test piece and them measure and
adjust according to what i need. As with anything it takes practice
and the more you use it the better you will get. If you are not
getting good consistancy it might be because you do not have the
blocks close enough and the rubber is wandering. I am not half as
exprienced as some so take my post with a grain of salt. (I have
stripped a bit over a pound of rubber which is not alot)
