Thanks for the movie camera tip. I'll put it on my list of "things to try
someday".
I for one wouldn't have a problem with a series of radial cuts. I have tried
a single radial cut. parallel & near the prop spar. I started with a short
cut, centered radially on the blade. Then progressively extended the length of
the cut in the hope that at some point the blades would begin to flare. I never
was sure if it was flaring or not without a method like the camera to see what
was happening.
