I think that model designs go in cycles with various things being
tried. EZB design has changed dramatically since Ron Williams wrote
his book. It is common to have a model where the CG is near or behind
the trailing edge of the wing.

The best thing to do would be to do a bit of experimentation and to
consider more than just the CG location. Look at the size of the stab
and the length of the tailboom as well as the incidence angles. They
all work together. To find the best combination, keep good notes and
use your stopwatch. Small changes can have a big impact on performance.

Make your next model a more modern design, try one of the plans out of
INAV and compare things.
