March 02 rubber

Sorting through my March 02 rubber yesterday I found it had so much
static that the loops clung to my sleeve and would not hang together.
This may have already been a topic which I missed but have other fliers
found the same thing ? I wonder if static has any implications for the
acuracy in weighing motors ?
