I use a 1 inch wide brush and apply enough water to a piece of
silkspan to have the silkspan lie flat on the table top (formica
covered). I get the silkspan flat and smooth, no wrinkles or
bubbles. I try to use enough water to get it flat, but not so much as
to let it puddle.

I then place the form on top of this and use the tip of a knife to
pick up a bit of the silkspan and lay it onto the form and roll almost
a full turn onto the form. I then add the balsa and roll it onto the
form.

I'm impatient, so I dry the tube out in an oven.
