I think Tom's question arose from private correspondance between us
where we both bemoaned a lack of suitable tissue for stick/boom
rolling. I'd heard that Gampi might give good results?
Many tissues seem to be full of size, which makes the removal of
rolled components a pain in the a**. This is true of the jap tissues
I've tried and of many other types as well and it's made worse by my
preference for rolling wet - which I believe gives a much better and
more accurate cylindrical form - the downside is that the tissue
needs wet strength.
So, if any of you high-rollers out there know of a reliable source
of tissue that gives no problems, especially on booms, please let us
know - online or off.
