I can't answer to the rest of the country, but where I live, Larry
Cailliau and I are the only active fliers that will build anything
with a rolled motor stick and a V/P prop. Most of the guys build
Limited Penny Plane, S/O and F1L.
A 35cm can be built with a solid motor stick. I have several ROG's
built with them and there is only a .02 gm weight penalty. They are a
lot easier to handle and you don't have to worry about a blown motor
tearing up the rolled stick.
