Neil,
For classes where square posts are required, such as A-6, I use square tubes. For classes such as F1D I use round posts and tubes as I find that I can get a tighter fit with the round tubes and since they are installed in a motor tube they are just as easy to install.

PS; on prop shapes for the Okie Dokie I have just cut the tips off square, I haven't built anything for the class in 2 years.
