Re: Indoor Construction: Next steps
I have effectively stopped using Facebook also, only usig it for my family members that can't seem to be able to communicate otherwise ;).
I essentially stopped using Groups years ago (other than getting the digest) simply because it was a pain to follow the threads, or to FIND a thread after a few weeks, plus the changes (or "upgrades as Yahoo prefers to call them) making finding ANYTHING a PITA. I never had issues with logging in or even viewing photos (I still maintain that these were nothing more than personal computer setting issues), but this will (hopefully) become moot.
Now for the gist...
I personally do NOT think that an email type list/group is concurrent with the present age. Too much gets lost in the jumble. IMHO, a true FORUM would be more suitable and MUCH easier to search, with costs staying within reasonable limits and would NOT be subject to the whims of "fortune" (like .io and yahoo). The contents of the present group could be copied into an archive- along with the files and photos, BUT, this entails some serious work by someone who knows what he's doing, an "owner" and moderators who can take the job seriously - preferably all with some web savvy.
Just my 2 cents
