Agree. My recent post (Oct 17) appears on the webpage, but did not make it to my own inbox (Yahoo strikes again!) I mentioned how Groups.IO looks fine to me. I did not know that they automatically move "everything" because in the Yahoo Moderators Yahoo Group some have been complaining about headaches of not getting some data items (especially attachments) moved. Maybe those moderators had not waited the necessary few days yet, and it will all work swimmingly. Lets hope so. Bill, are you sure Groups.io transferred past posts, and not the RC Group owner, by some other method?Moderator

I agree with Lincoln's notion of moving Indoor_Construction to GROUPS.IO. We moved the RC Soaring Digest Yahoo! Group to GROUPS.IO a couple of years ago. It's very similar to the Yahoo! Groups format, free, and there have been no hiccups. GROUPS.IO moved everything - posts, attachments, files, etc. - from Yahoo! to GROUPS.IO (which took a few days) and then sent out invitations to all of our nearly 3,000 group members. The transition went very smoothly and it's worked extremely well for us. If Yahoo! has been fulfilling your needs and you're simply looking for a similar free service, check out GROUPS.IO.

Hi all, long time lurker here,
Yahoo is going to kill off Yahoo groups very soon. Message posting stops on Oct 21st, that's next Monday, and deletes all data in December.
see this webpage by Yahoo:

many yahoo groups have already moved to groups.io. It is not difficult and was still free last time I checked, but it must be done by the owner or moderator.
Thanks
Lincoln
