I've been corresponding with this young man for a while now. He's definitely got the knack for indoor. Two things come to mind as he's reached this level in his flying.
1. Indoor, and free flight in general, are growing, not dying. Thank you internet for getting the information out there. Contest numbers aren't growing here in the US, however it takes time for the effect to trickle down since most of these newcomers are flying for sport.
2. The kids, in particular, need mentoring. Henry and his parents told me that my videos have formed 90% of his education in model airplanes. While that feels good, it's not a particularly good statement for the level of online outreach we as a community are doing. I've got about 3000 subscribers in YouTube, fewer on Facebook. Not a great reach into the market.
