Simultaneously, there is a ton of Indoor FF information on the Internet, and we can always continue organizing it and providing guides to finding it. David, you got to the F1D rules pretty quickly. I'd be interested to hear how you fare finding other information (building tutorials, plans, forum discussions on various construction topics, YouTube videos, etc.). Your feedback could help us figure out ways to make the existing information more "findable".

One thing to keep in my regarding Don and David's comments: when people say "F1D", I'm not sure they always mean actual F1Ds (i.e. the Indoor FF event vs. Indoor FF in general). I suspect they are referring to Indoor FF looking models, which I bet would cover everything from an LPP/F1M through HLS (but not P-18 IMO). In other words, a model that captures that magic "how is that thing flying" kind of response.

So, even though some of the questions are "how do I build and F1D", a good answer is to point people to an LPP or and F1M or Leo's F1D Jr.

Don and David, here's your challenge: find info and build something (anything!) Find a local group and flying site (or travel to a not-so-local site). Bring your model and ask someone if they will help you get going. Let's use this as a case study to see where we can improve the experience.
