You know my feelings regarding BOM so I won't litigate that here, but I
disagree with this part of your response.

The FAI has allowed the use of purchased hubs for years. The only thing
that changed is they made an explicit statement before the world champs
stating as much, and offered a carefully worded interpretation as
justification.
At this point it's clear that a large majority of top F1D fliers have
invested tens of thousands of dollars in hubs, and they have been using
them for a long time. I'm of the opinion that this ship set sail a long
time ago, and it's time to move on. My 2 cents.
