Good day group.
The comments on this purchased VP aspect make interesting reading.
They seem centred around the general 'Builder of Model' rule.

Would you consider someone buying and building a kit is the builder of the
model??
I doubt if F1D kits will ever become available, but if they did, would they
be against the BOM rule?

There are F1N kits about - can they be purchased, built and flown and still
comply with the BOM rule?

A lot can depend on the definition of 'building' a plane, and whether all
components must be 'built' too...

If I use a carbon tube for a wing post will I need to have made it myself
from carbon cloth?
Do I need to weave the cloth from tow?

Are Harlan type bearings allowed?

I think there are various interpretations of this rule around, supported by
various opinions.
It's not particularly clear what the intent is.

Quite possibly the intent is a simple as preventing a team using one model
for all members.
The addition of a number on the model does indicate that the organisers
want to be able to tell who it 'belongs to'.
One flier could have several models with the same number on them.

This is a discussion group, can we discuss the various opinions?
