Thanks to all for their suggestions. I had seen the needle cap bottles on eBay but the pictures looked like the 20 gauge needles (even with the black caps). If Don had not already had some to spare, I would have ordered one just to see the size.
Chris' suggestion for repair is something I will try as I have the correct size tubing, too, that was bought for vp hubs.
In the long run, we need a supply of such needle caps. I assume they are still being made so we just need to find the manufacturer, a supplier, or a retail source. I would like to be ready to give out such a glue bottle to the good beginners when they graduate to more than SO planes.
