The Bulletin 1 for the 2018 Indoor World Championships at West Baden has now been posted on the FAI website. The Bulletin 1 and the Preliminary Entry Form are in a zip file at:

We plan to have a Bulletin 2 in September with more details on the accommodations for non-competitors and others not working or associated with the contest and on the daily competition schedule.

In addition, there will be a pre-contest in the West Baden Hotel Atrium (the WC site) the weekend before the WC, March 17-18,2018. The contest will be for F1D's only and will be the:

"Jim Richmond Open at West Baden" in celebration of Jim's first Indoor World Championship.

We have applied for an AMA sanction and will post more details soon.

For all WC competitors and teams, we would suggest making your plans and visa applications (if needed) or ESTA applications (for those who do not need visas) as soon as possible. Also, the available accommodations at the West Baden Hotel may be limited after January 1, 2018, so we suggest that all teams and competitors wishing to take advantage of the subsidized accommodation plan to apply as soon as possible. Details are in Bulletin 1 and more details will be available soon. We ask that teams and competitors send in the preliminary entry form as soon as possible (well before the December 1, 2017, deadline) so that we can make firm plans on the number of accommodations needed.

We also plan to be able to provide discounted rooms at the West Baden Hotel for non-competitors and other not working or associated with the contest (including significant others of the competitors and workers). We will provide details in early September and again advise making plans early, including plans for the pre-contest.

Finally, we will need at least 24 timers for the contest. Each team may provide one timer whose accommodations (room and meals) will be paid by the organizers. Most of the timer positions will be filled by US indoor fliers and associates. Accommodations will provided by the organizers for these timers, too. We will soon publish details on the application and selection process for these non-team timers.
