Edmund,

I recently bought all new watches. For RPM I bought a Robic SC-848W as
it allows to adjust from 2 to 20 for your rpm count and you can change
it easily. So when timing faster props like F1L I set to 10 for 10 revs
and for F1D I then set it to 5 for 5 revs. (Some watches are fixed at a
value of 3 for the stroke function). You can also use the speed function
on the watch as an additional RPM counter as well though you have to do
a calculation to set the parameter, so using the stroke mode is easiest.
For regular timing of flights I use the lower cost Robic SC-505W . Both
display 1/100th a second up to 24 hours.
