I had an adjustable temp cautery that I got from Lew Gitlow around 20 years
ago. Unfortunately after many years of use the temperature adjustment
broke and I got rid of it. It used what was essentially a variable
resistor to control temperature. I've thought about adding something like
this to what i have now.
