Question for Kibbie Dome attendees
I'd like to get feedback from people that are attending Kibbie this year.
Anyone that's familiar with the building knows about the rods at the east
and west ends of the building that effectively split the ceiling area into
three separate spaces. They hang about 20 feet below the ceiling (about
120 feet above the floor), and they're suspended by multiple cables.
I'm considering asking the facilities people to hang plastic sheeting from
the ceiling to cover the gap above each rod. The plastic would cover both
sides of the cables and the rod, and it would stop just below the rods.
This would prevent any models that drift toward the rods from hanging on
them, but it would also limit the area available if you plan to fly above
the rods. I've seen models drift above the rods and survive, but the more
common outcome is a hangup which is why I'm considering this option.
I'd like to get feedback before I ask to see if this can be done.
Thanks,
Jake
