Here are the results for the 2016 Golden Flash Indoor Bash. Many thanks
to all the sponsors who helped in keeping the contest running. Every
year new records are set and this was no exception. We had one US record
and two Canadian records set. Congratulations to Tom Sova for his record
in F1R and to John Marett for his two Canadian records in F1R and
Unlimted Catapult Glider.
Outside was mid 70s and sunny. The inside air was in the 77-80F range
and the air was wonderful as the day progressed. Those who did not come
missed a great flying session which ended in me doing a little Irish jig
around my helium balloon as was deflating, followed by dinner at Mike's
Place with their famous X-wing fighter.
Make plans for next year, as my plan is to return to a 2 day meet again
as I know some of you will make the trip for a two day meet and also
there will be no conflict with the World Championships. The contest will
also be the renamed the "Midwest Indoor Free Flight Championships"
