Dear all regarding airfoils and ribs. I use thickness percentage to sort them and make them from 1 mm thick spring steel stock. I draw them in cad very quick 1/16 longer then chord. This is because when sou slice ribs they tend to increase In camber and shorten. To make thndorms i wire edm cut them very fast and accurate. I use 4 % on wings 2% on stabs usually. As a general ruke the heavier the wing ooading the more camber is efficient so lpp models I biluild use 5.5. % and manhattans 7% etc. My bottom straight line to top horizontal axis is always 1.375 inches so works well with Jim Jones ARI rib cutting index. For banana ribs i make the top as described and bottom form lower in height for the desired thickness of rib in the middle and chqnge tha rc to suit. Usually make banana ribs 0.045 at ends and 0.075 in the middle.
