After using up maybe 600 or so props, IIRC, the 5 1/2" red props did have a
really soft shaft. The Midwest 6" with hanger have a nice stiff shaft,
BUT, at least in the current ones, the front bend is so close 9 and usually
not bent into a sharp 90 deg. angle) to the prop that usually the fre wheel
won't, A fis is to straighten it and rebend, takes a vise grip pliers and
a bit of hammer and anvil work..
I checked the weight, the red props is about 1.8 gms, the black is 2.2, not
a lot of difference. That works nicely, if I want a "toss-glider", I can
just swap he prop for a penny (the Pennydart)
Mike, you're talking about building the MKII-H, what's the difference from
the MK-V ??
Just ad to orde some 3/32 SS from FAI, cost me $26 for 1/2 lb.
