The Mellencamp Pavilion on the IU Bloomington Indiana campus will be open to indoor duration fliers from 4pm until 6pm on the Friday (March 18th) before the Wets Baden contest. Bloomington is an hour north of West Baden or an hour south of Indianapolis. Many have asked about flying in the site and now is a chance. The site is clear to the 62' catwalks and is has a full football sized floor area. The flying area is divided into two by a high net (more than 50; high) on the 50 yard line. The floor is an artificial turf and no helium will be available.
The Indiana State Science Olympiad is that weekend and the students will be trim flying after 6pm so we will have no problem with heavier planes during the late afternoon time slot. Here is a link to a picture:
