Bob,

Your assessment is what we found as well. In the 10 or so years of SO
work done when Dr Hacker was still around we had 20-30 kids a session
for many years. Of all those kids over the years only Ben Saks and Doug
Schaeffer dug deeper into indoor. So say 2 kids out of 1000 or so. The
kids did treat it like homework assignment. My dad did delta dart
programs as well with zero follow up interest. Eventually that effort
burns you out. Aviation is just not the amazing technology it was. My
dad has photos of indoor contest with 100 kids with gliders or rubber
powered planes back 60 years ago. So the planes or events were not
difficult. Cell phones, Xboxs ,and quad drone racing are what kids want
these days. If we were flying rubber powered cell phones quads in races
then maybe :-)
