Dear all
Regarding duco cement alternatives

Duco is available from devcon in usa and u.k. direct. I have purchased it in bulk 25 tubes in a carton a store display worked out appx 1.50 us a piece when I factored in the shipping. This takes some legwork but the folks were very helpfull and interested when I discussed my application, in fact i exchanged a few pics and they threw in a free carton of the glue thats 25 tubes free guys! Had to buy 3 cartons got 4! Great deal. I bought direct from Devcon as I cant get it locally but never found the adhesive for indoor models an issue. I more grind my teeth buying zap cya!!! By comparison one oz of duco I can build 4 f1d models for a glue value of 1.50, to make a molded carbon kevlar fuse I need 30 dollars of epoxy!
It is the cheapest adhesive i know of.

Today ambroid is not the same as it used to be so got away from it. It is more liquidy and lighter in colour and shrinks so much more than the old stuff. When plasticiced needs so much plasticizer it became useless. I still use it when sheetingnleading edges on outdoor models.

Also in europe guys use uhu cement maybe available in us am not sure but expensive around 5 dollars per oz.
