Billy,
FAC Nocal is per the FAC rules, no minimum weight, score is three flights with no max and a 20 second minimum. USIC (NFFS) Nocal is to a 6.2 g minimum weight, score is the best flight of 6.
Flying Horde is an FAC sudden death mass launch (one flight rather than eliminations) for models which have not won any events at the contest (last part is sometimes waived). Pick something you like and fly it.
I usually fly quite a few events at a major contest, but that's just me. I've been known to enter 9 events in one day, but that's gotten to be absolutely untenable since I got married and have a family who would like some air time as well. It's really what you make of it. When you get really serious at indoor flying, it's difficult to fly more than two events per segment (mornings and afternoons are separated at USIC) and do well in any of them.
