One more thing if someone is just looking for something new to try - you
can fly open pennyplane and F1M with one set of flying surfaces. The
models may not be competitive but they will fly nicely.
For OPP the one I used for a few years had two LPP wings in a tandem
configuration. I never placed very high with this model but it flew well
and broke 16 minutes in 2005. There was never a stability problem with it.
Manhatten is a class I've wanted to try but haven't done it yet.
