Hi John.

This was actually my concern as well. In my case, I am using the 0.022" for part of the FliteTork torque meters. On part of the wire where I can see the twist, I can feel it too. For the torque meters, my gut tells me that the wire will be quite strong enough for use well past what the meters are designed for. So no worries.

I am not as sure with 0.013" wire for prop shafts. If you can feel a twist, the surface won't be smooth any longer, so friction would increase. That can't be good.

I did get a private message suggesting that I string a guitar with some wire nice and tight and let it sit for a while. I may do exactly that to see what happens.
