I have rubber whose thickness varies from .037" to almost .050" - all of
which I might use when making motors. I don't see how a strip width can be
correlated to a unit weight unless you have a chart for every thickness of
rubber.

Even in the same length of rubber the thickness can vary by several
thousandths.
