Weight of spacer in comps
Hi all
How do you treat the weight of a motor stick spacer for the purpose of competition weigh-ins?
The current rules state 0.4g rubber and 1.4g max airframe.
My assumption is that for those flying old rules F1Ds, introducing a 0.2g spacer between the motor and the hook, makes it easy to use a new 0.4g motor without changing the airframe. But that the dead weight of the spacer is added to the airframe weight which conveniently now makes the airframe up to 1.4g.
Is this correct?
We have a comp coming up at the end of Nov and some flyers may be flying old rules F1Ds - so wanted to make sure I had the answer right! (I am CD)
cheers
