Hello everyone,

My mom and I were in Kansas City and I have been looking into the Kansas City Municipal Auditorium as a potential flying site. Since we were downtown for a college fair, we went to see if we could get into the building. We "wandered" in and the entire building was empty. The air conditioning was off, and the air was hot and still. It is 92 feet tall, with a smooth ceiling to scrub. We talked to a lady in the convention and visitors bureau office, and they were interested. I have sent emails to the director of sales, Gemma Zook.

In the picture it shows a scoreboard, but there is no scoreboard in the building when we went in. Also, there are no lights hanging down and the ceiling is smooth. There are what looks like speaker fixtures hanging down but they look retractable, maybe even removable. Attached are some pictures I took.

I think that we have a good shot at landing this site. Many of their bookings are proms, graduations, and cheer leading contests. Parking is easy, and it is in the middle of downtown Kansas City. The building is old art-deco style, beautiful and well maintained. If this starts to work out, I will need some help with the details such as price, insurance, and other things.
