I had some 3M that gone a bit old in the spray can and used to spray
"threads" out of the nozzle. So I tried to dissolve it in some solvent,
and brush on structure. Took 3 applications until I got enough tack, and
by then the outlines were horribly heavy - seems like the thin glue
soaked into the balsa wood. I was then told that the proper method to
used brushed glue is to put the outline onto the film, and let the glue
seep between the two. I also tried to airbrush the dissolved glue, but
that only clumped into my airbrush. So I'm back to spraying the glue
onto the frame from the spray can, and if the can starts to spray
"threads" I just discard the can and open another.
