Several have tried it, some successfully. I have not been impressed with the trim situation it causes, though. Bottom line is that you don't get much wing twist at high torque. Spacers on 9" motorsticks have given me much better results. I've found that .012 spacers can be made as light as 30 mg for the required length. Formed correctly, they are sufficiently strong to do the job.
