Getting best results from the Oppegard rubber stripper

Greetings.

So I spent a lot of hours during the past few days cutting rubber with my Oppegard rubber stripper.
I had recently purchased an old unopened box of TanSS and was using it for practice.

At first I had a lot of issues, basically couldn't get the same results cutting identical 4" long segments.
I pulled it apart to adjust it at least half a dozen times before I got it somewhat 'set' to cut reliably.

What I'd like to do is ask folks if they find the Oppegard cuts more reliably on the left or right side of the blade.
Seems an odd question at first, but I used to adjust to cut on the right. I found that it cut more consistently if I changed to the left. Does this mirror others experiences?

(If it isn't clear, say the strip is 120 thou wide. I got more consistent results cutting 50/70 than 70/50.)

It might be worth writing something up for future Oppegard owners.

Regards.
Mike Kirda
