The plane (pun intended) is a work of art & I think it would look great as the center piece on our dining room table with a few wood shavings scattered around for effect.

Very pretty, but you could buy a pair of Stanleys for about $90, or a pair of Veritases (Veritii?) for $310. The Veritas gives nothing away in elegance.
But I understand. I keep going back to the watchmaker and eyeing an estate Heuer he has in the case for $650, even though my flea market Casio keeps perfect time. My wife says to buy it; my birthday is coming up.
