The relationship of total plane mass v. flying time is:

 T1 *(m1/m2)^1.5 = T2
 

 This relationship assumes that the plane has identical energy to use for both total masses (plane weight plus motor weight) and that the plane flies with the same efficiency (and this last point is the problem to solve).
 

 This is the formula provided to (and, I think, used by) the SO Wright Stuff committee to set the bonus factor for the possible 2016 rules.
