Kang,

 The cross section you suggested is very close to what I used. Mine is not tapered, but is 4.4# .130" x .230", with the stick weighing about 300mg. The hook to hook distance is only 6.1". The only problem I see is that the stick has great compressional strength but not the best torsional strength. Since many models fly with different amounts of wing wash at launch, I'm not sure if torsional strength is a big issue, but cutting down the cross section will give the model more wing wash at launch. During trim flights, the wing lays completely flat (I borrowed it from another model) at rest, and during cruise there is about .3" of wing wash. The motorstick length and cross section is definitely up for experimentation, as the idea for this stick was dreamed up at 11:00pm, and finished at 2:00am!
