Right now there are no limitations. Literally the sky's (or ceiling) is the limit. Since Wright Stuff airplanes are actually better known than most FAI or AMA events, the initial concept was to give young SO students more opportunities/reasons to continue flying. We would also hope that these same kids start to flock together and eventually form some organization (dare I say clubs?) that cross school boundaries.

This might also prompt these kids to reach-out to existing free-flight clubs and start dropping those average ages below 50 years old!

This will allow the AMA to increase memberships (especially since they are free until 18 yrs old), start the young people on some type of continuing competition and also give that techno-geek-nerd SO kid something to brag about to his or her friends.

As for other folks older than 18, we will have to give some thought as to how that might be organized.

I suspect a relatively small response the first couple of years until we can get school corporations up to speed on the STEM values it can offer to their students.

Ultimately, my hope is to engage some Universities and Corporations so that we might be able to offer scholarships as part of the winners' package. I would also like to have A-2 style jackets as part of the awards that states something about the students' involvement and akin to a letter jacket for athletes. This is a lofty concept but one that gives students a tangible display of their accomplishments.

 Again, any suggestions welcome,

 Tom
