I just bought a Grandeslam Carbo, which is a put-over pole, 11 m long. It's not as light as the really nice one Bill bought a while back, but it's less than $100 USD (shipping, however, will make your eyes water) and works well. I personally use even the thin section at the end, but I've done a lot of steering with whippy poles. If you haven't learned to steer with a whippy pole, don't use that last section unless you like replacing wings.
If you can afford it, get one of the 13 m put-over poles. Bear in mind that whatever you get, shipping is likely to be about $120; I was unable to locate any US distributors. It is possible to find 13 m put-overs in the $250 range (not counting shipping). Also, Grandeslam makes another 11 m pole that is considerably lighter than the one I've got. Some sources charge about the same amount for it, but I couldn't find one that would ship it to the US for a reasonable price.
