Did you use a knife to slice the ribs and spars, or a rotary blade cutter?
I have a small tabletop circular saw with a diamond cutting blade, it is handy to cut carbon spars for outdoor model and slice ribs from blocks with carbon caps laminated on top and bottom. But it cuts 1mm wide, so much of the laminate on indoor stuff would turn to dust...
