Not exactly but similar. For my only F1D wing I glued carbon thread
pulled from unidirectional fabric to both sides of a sheet of .045"
balsa and then sliced off .035" spars from the sheet. The thread was
glued on with thinned Duco. The spars worked well. Weight was 105mg for
two 18" long spars.
