Round Valley is not suitable for a nats. The videos from the first contest held there tell the story plainly. The windows in the ceiling create powerful air currents, making decent flight times impossible. Participants won't want to drive 3+ hrs from Albuquerque to a site like that, not for the price to fly into a small field like Albuquerque.
The way I see it, we cannot afford to have another nats as poorly attended as 2014, at least not back-to-back. If I'm not mistaken, the two day contest in Kent this year had as many participants as the Nats--not a good situation.
