Trying to adapt an F1D plan to a Wright Stuff model is not a great idea
IMHO. The WS model design is fairly restrictive in terms of the dimensions
of the flying surfaces and the prop, and the 8g weight is much heavier than
any other type of indoor duration model. To me it makes more sense to use
the weight to build with more durable materials than to build a lightweight
balsa model and put a lot of ballast on to get up to the 8 grams. But that
course of action is up to the builder.

Many people will be using kits. There's no stigma attached to building from
a kit (unless you get beat).

There's a long discussion of the 2015 WS model on Hippocket Aeronautics
with plans, construction techniques and flying experiences. I would suggest
reading the entire section. I have a couple of plans posted (Olbill). The
first one has some mistakes. The second one is close to correct but the
model is still being developed.
