Carbon fiber

Is there a tutorial around that can get a body acquainted with carbon fiber? Like what sizes does it come in, how to strip the stock sizes down smaller, what glue works on it, what's the best way to stick OS to it, and so on.
 
 I've built a couple of Gowan models, substituting balsa for carbon fiber, and I want to take a shot at some of these new-fangled materials.
