Roving ga kaenakatta kara.
We couldn't buy the roving anywhere. It was sold out for seven months when I started this process.

I wanted to purchase roving alone. I tried every lead I could that advertised it. Everyone was sold out and had no idea when they would get more in. I waited several months and tried again. Still no luck.

At that point I went to the source. A minimum order from Japan was 5 kilos and ran approximately USD20,000.
The sales guy took pity on me and pointed me to several companies who had ordered the roving during the past year. Most did not respond to me. The one that did is Sigmatex.

As far as I can tell, still no one has it in stock in Europe.

And no, fabric is NOT better than roving. Pulling it apart abraids it slightly.
