Words from the past about F1D rules change

I found the following written by Erv Rodemsky very interesting about the then "new rule" 65 cm 1g F1D, passed in 1970. The 65 cm 1g F1D was first flown at the world championship in 1972.
 

 Before the 65 cm 1g F1D, there was no minimum weight on the model. The 1968 and 1970 world championships were the only two WC's flying this rule.
 

 40 years later, I pretty much agree with Erv.
