Fred is correct here. I was unclear in that I should have said that "Mylar" was a brand name for BoPET which is a form of PET that is stretched during manufacture to increase some physical properties. BoPET films can also be laminated with polyethylene to make a film which has better heat sealing properties than just the PET film.
