An electric model that flew almost as slowly as a pennyplane or F1M was
desired so as to not endanger typical heavier classes of indoor duration
models. Obviously, F1Ds and very lightweight models are flown in
separate time slots or at the opposite end of the building. Try an
electric F1M with one stage of gearing and then perhaps move to
something more ambitious and competitive.

Also look up Ray Harlan's electric indoor FF designs. His planes set the
existing records.
