Nope, they don't have aluminum rod in the right size range either.

It does not appear that anyone makes aluminum screws in the sizes we'd need.
I've contacted dozens of suppliers with no luck in the past year and finally gave up.
I ordered the tap/die I need, now it is just a matter of finding the material to make them from.
I can't jam a 1/8" rod into the die and if I were to sand it down that much, I think it would lose the temper.
